Exhibiting original mail art for display and sale to raise funds for The Claremont Forum's Prison Library Project, which sends thousands of books free to inmates throughout the country. Please join us for this exciting Mail Art event! Mail art has been painted, stamped, collaged, printed, and/or otherwise decorated or constructed. This year we have received such unusual pieces as a purse, tree fungus that has been cured and carved, and an artist's wooden palette -- all sent through the mail! All work has this in common: it has an official U.S. Postmark, indicating it has gone through the postal system. We will continue to receive work until our March 1 entry deadline (see our blog for participation guidelines). All entries received will be on display at the Claremont Forum's Gallery, during which time visitors may place silent auction bids. All sales proceeds go to the Prison Library Project.
